I am a painter, working primarily in oil, gouache, and monoprint. I think of color and the sensuality of paint as my subject. My point of departure is often moving figures ---dancers, jumpers, yogis. Still life can be the substitute for human action, as in the Olive Oyl series., where she stands serene amidst a variety of perplexing situations.
