PETEY BROWN earned a BFA in painting at Boston University in 1976. She has had solo exhibitions in Boston, MA; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Provincetown, MA; and Roanoke, VA. Petey has been included in numerous group exhibitions over the years, at the National Academy of Design, NY; Baltimore Museum of Art, MD; Fitchburg Art Museum, MA; Zurcher Gallery, NY; and many others. Her work is included in the collections of the Library of Congress and De Cordova Museum. Commissions include works for the Marriot Hotel in Tampa, FL , Conrad Hotel in Uruguay, and others. Petey’s work has been reviewed in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Art New England, Newton Times, and Delicious Line. She lives in Brooklyn, NY and works in Soho, NY and Garrattsville, NY.
